The History of the Refugees in Eberron

Rumors of new worlds to explore and conquer have always stirred the blood of the Refugees. An old world with a new face was rumored to exist. A grizzled adventurer was sent to investigate. Fernmug Freehand, the grizzled veteran of centuries of campaigning, threw his pack over his shoulders and his axe in his belt and began the trek to this new world.

Eberron was its name and the outpost of Stormreach was the port of landing. Dungeons and Dragons lived here and brought memories of youth to the knurled brow of the aging dwarf. Fernmug was experienced enough to know this was no world for the meek, nor the solo adventurer. He reached out to his comrades back in the world of Azeroth.

Rengar, Khirya and Ragnar Fierymane came to his aid. His halfling friend Brodi was there to meet the call. Even the aged Imajicaan and Hecubus were seen in the land. Once a beachhead was established many of the remaining Refugees came to join us.

We conquered dungeon after dungeon, but, in the end, we could not earn enough for bread and water, when we were not together. Hunger for more solitary content drove us on and we lingered but a brief time in Eberron.

Although our time in Eberron was brief, it reinforced that Refugees are of like mind. We once again sent scouts in to the ether to find a new home. I have heard a rumor that Nittering, that irascible rogue, has been busy finding a new home.
