Refugees,

I wanted to take a moment this evening and remind each of you that this month, the guild officially turns 10 years old. Over the next 2 weeks, leading up to the official date - 2/22 - I will be rolling out a few things meant to jog our collective memory about just how far we've come.

In the meantime, I just wanted to say - to each of you - THANK YOU.

Thank you for being a Refugee.

Thank you for believing in this grand experiment of ours.

And most importantly, thank you all for being my fellow adventurers, my friends, my family out here in cyberspace!

Refugees,

Today marks a new beginning, a new chapter, if you will, and a new hope for the continuation of our guild. On December 20th, 2011, our latest chapter will officially open, centered around Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Shortly thereafter, in February of 2012, Refugees will celebrate our 10th Anniversary.

Let that sink in a moment.

It's been a decade since Kyle and I stepped out into the world of Istaria and decided to create something of our own. Along the way, we have been blessed to have come across so many like-minded souls that Refugees continues to flourish, and, we hope with the introduction of the SW:TOR chapter, to grow.

I cannot express my gratitude to those of you whom have chosen to walk this path with me nearly adequately enough. From those early, crazy days in Horizons, right up to this chapter opening in Star Wars.

For some of you, such as Phil, Anthony and Amanda, Josh, Mitch, Kristine, Dean, Joe, Sean, Mark and yes Doug, (though you'll never read this because it's on our WEBSITE!) whom have walked through the fire alongside of me seemingly from the very beginning to get here, there will never be any words for what your support, teamwork and most importantly your friendship have meant to me along the way. Both in these games and out of them.

So, as we embark upon this new journey together, I wanted to both say 'Thanks!', and to remind each of you that long ago we said that "if we shoot for the moon and miss, at least we'd end up amongst the stars"...and our entry into SW:TOR should be proof of that...as if 10 years together hadn't already proven it, heh.

I look forward to the next decade, and the new challenges we will face...as always, together...and to the new additions we might find along the way to add to our 'cyber-family'.
