Wanna see shinies from a mile away? Do this: Go to Options, Display, and then open the Particle Effects tab. See the Particle Level of Detail (far)? Make sure its up to max! Let the Collecting begin!
Another visual trick is to open the model Detail tab, also in Display, and make sure the first two sliders are at max. (Level of detail bias and Max Triangle Density) This will help you see harvest nodes from far away as well.

Another tip is to get 3 nvidia cards in max SLI or 4 ATI cards in Crossfire x4 and .......... nevermind. wink
I can't play, I am out of Corellian mead.
