Welcome traveller, to the home of the Refugees. Please allow me to take a brief moment to introduce myself and the Refugees to you. I am Imajicaan Mae'Stro, Co-Founder of the Refugees Guild itself. The Refugees are a guild of friends and companions who share in the adventures which abound within many of the online worlds of the MMORPG community. Currently we are spending our days and nights in the lands comprised within Warhammer Online and we have taken up residence on the Ungrim server.

Because you are reading this message, I feel safe in assuming that you must wish to know something about us and what it is we stand for, and I must say that I am glad that you would stop by to ask.

Here then, is the basic introduction to the Refugees:
The Refugees have been called many things since our inception during Phase 2 of the Beta stages of Horizons during the Spring of 2002, but now we are mostly known as 'home' and 'family' for a small group of tight-knit, like-minded souls. And no two words could ever describe more aptly just what it is the Refugees were founded to be. We are, after all, a home away from home for those intrepid souls whom choose to spend their 'free time' within the alternate universe of the online gaming community. I feel truly privileged to be a part of such a merry band of adventurers to be sure, and I am confident that should you take the time to get know any of us, you will quickly come to understand just why it is that I am so proud to walk amongst this group of people.

This guild is a family of people whom share common goals and interests within the worlds in which we play. We are not an "uber" guild or an "elitist" guild nor do we wish to ever become one. We pride ourselves in the diversity of our people and the skills which they possess, because diversity brings strength and solidarity to any group of open-minded and intelligent people.

We are simply a group of mature, intelligent, experienced individuals who have come together in the hopes of creating a fun, helpful, and satisfying online gaming experience. We ask that anyone who wishes to petition for membership amongst us simply show the same drive, determination, fortitude and willingness to become a part of something greater than themselves that have defined us from the earliest beginnings of the Refugees. We conduct ourselves as adults and we would also ask that anyone wishing to join us do the same. Respect begets respect, and this is paramount to the members of our guild.

Let me warn you now then:
If you are a griefer, loot-monger, or kill-stealer, you do not need to go any further into our website, our forums, or any other part of our home. For if you are any of these things, you will quickly find that this is NOT the guild for you nor will any of these actions be tolerated.

If, however, you have read all of this, and you still wish to learn more about us or possibly petition us for membership, then we encourage you to learn all that you can from this website and our forums and most importantly, to seek us out inside the worlds we live in themselves. At almost any given hour you should find at least one member of the guild off on some adventure, crafting some item or simply working on some guild related project.

With all of this said, I must now bid you farewell and wish you the best in whatever path you choose to take. May your sword never rust, your spells never fail and most importantly of all, may your strength never falter when protecting your friends and family.
