Our Ventrillo server license is up this month and so we have discussed our options and made the decision to move the guild to dedicated TeamSpeak 3 Server as we move forward. This change should be noted by all current Refugees, as the Vent license expires in 12 days and we are moving VERY quickly to get everyone migrated to the new TS3 server.
The discussion and decision behind this was in depth, but suffice to say we get a LOT more out of switching to TS 3 and it will only benefit the guild as we move forward. Here are just a few of the highlights:
- We have more licenses for more Refs
- TS3 can be run in overlay mode along with SW:TOR (no need to alt+tab to do things in TS)
- The client is not as memory intensive as Vent
- We have multiple new channels for use by members to setup groups to run with
